How to add your Boat Blog map to a Blogger post

Step 1 — Make your trip shareable

1. Go to canalmaps.co.uk and open your Boat Log

1. Open the trip you want to share

1. In Trip settings, change Visibility from Private to Unlisted (anyone with the link) or Public

1. Click Save

1. The Embed code box will appear — click Copy code

Step 2 — Add it to your Blogger post

1. Go to your Blogger dashboard and open or create a post

1. In the post editor, click the pencil/HTML icon in the toolbar — it switches the editor from visual mode to HTML mode

1. Click in the post where you want the map to appear

1. Paste the code you copied (Ctrl+V / Cmd+V)

1. Switch back to visual mode — you'll see a grey placeholder box where the map will appear

1. Publish or Update your post

That's it. Your readers will see a fully interactive scrollable map of your trip, with all your stops and places of interest marked.

The map is linked live to your Canal Maps account — if you add more entries to the trip later, they'll appear on the map automatically.
